Immerse students in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering curriculum that will engage them in a range of rigorous and relevant learning experiences. Students will develop an innovative solution to a real-world problem, and design, build, and code a LEGO ® robot to solve themed challenge missions.

FIRST ® LEGO ® League Challenge Class Pack includes the curriculum educators and facilitators need to guide their students through 12 sessions as they explore STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and robotics and develop an innovative solution to a real-world problem pertaining to the season theme.

The 2024-2025 ocean -themed SUBMERGED SM materials will help students use creative thinking and LEGO ® technology to explore the layers of the ocean and bring learnings and ideas to the surface in a new challenge launching August 6 .

• Class Pack Guide: Printed and d igital resource that provides guidance, management tips, and best practices for how to implement FIRST LEGO League Challenge in the classroom and instructions on how to run your tournament. >View a sample

• FIRST Thinkscape Portal Access: Digital materials access from August 2024 – September 2025 including getting started modules and season resources for educators.
• Engineering Notebooks : Printed* student workbooks, also available digitally, that are used to record ideas, notes, and sketches for the 12 sessions. >View a sample
• Team Meeting Guide : Printed comprehensive guide, also available digitally, provides educators and facilitators with guidance and lesson plans on how to run 12 sessions and end with a culminating celebration. It includes student outcomes, tips, cleanup pointers, and checkpoints to monitor the team's progress. >View a sample
• Robot Game Rulebooks: Printed and digital guides for adults and students with everything they need for the SUBMERGED robot game. Each guide contains field set-up instructions, descriptions of each mission, and the rules student teams must follow during the preparation, action, and scoring.
• Session Slides: Series of slides for each session that contain real-world connections such as videos, images, and helpful questions to guide students through each session.

Additional Engineering Notebooks can be purchased in bundles of 10, up to three (3) bundles per Class Pack. For the best experience, if more than three (3) bundles are needed, please order an additional FIRST LEGO League Challenge Class Pack.

LEGO ® Education SPIKE TM Prime + Expansion Set

Reusable year-to-year, SPIKE Prime combines over 1,100 colorful LEGO building elements, easy-to-use hardware, and an intuitive drag-and-drop coding language based on Scratch. View technical specs and system requirements.

We recommend no more than four (4) students per robot kit to provide all students an opportunity to practice coding and building during your sessions.

For the best possible student experience, we recommend at least two electronic devices (computer/tablet) per four students.

New Team Registration Grants Available with Class Pack Purchase

Continue the FIRST experience by registering a FIRST LEGO League Challenge individual team using the FIRST 2024-2025 FIRST DIVE Class Pack Rookie Team Grant. With each Challenge Class Pack paid purchase, you are eligible to receive a grant to cover the registration fee of one rookie (first-year) individual team; shipping and applicable taxes still apply. Individual teams are made up of up to ten (10) students and participate in season events run by local Program Delivery Partners with the potential for progression to regional or national championships or celebration events. Class Pack Awards

FIRST LEGO League Class Pack awards are available for purchase through Sports Awards for registered Class Pack customers. Options for purchase include ribbons, trophies, pencils, lanyards, and buttons. Customers must provide their Class Pack Account Number (found in the FIRST Dashboard ) to complete their purchase.
