Revision. It

GCSE Geography revision. It’s a piece of CAKE. At the very least it can be made easier! These four simple steps will help prepare you for GCSE Geography exam success:

Commit

Commit to revision. Don’t put it off. Put a plan in place for when you will revise geography. Here’s a template to get you started. Want to know how long before your exam? Take a look at the exam countdown clock.

Audit

Audit your strengths and the areas you need to work on. In other words, you need to identify your priorities for revision. Either look at the exam specification or use a checklist (usually called a PLC), to see where you are now. Once you’ve done this go back to your revision plan and identify what you need to revise. It’s really important that you revisit your learning regularly so build this into your plan.

Knowledge

Build your knowledge. You’re now ready to revisit your learning. There are lots of different ways of revising. You need to choose one that works for you. Take a look at the revision techniques we’ve put together and choose one that will work for you.

Evaluate

Evaluate your learning. How do you evaluate your learning? Take regular quizzes and complete past exam questions. Get family members on board to quiz you regularly. It will help build your memory. There are lots of GCSE geography revision quizzes on the internet. For example:

Revision distractions are everywhere. From Snapchat to Netflix it’s easy to lose focus and become distracted when you’re scheduled to revise. So, turn off your phone, TV and console and get on. Reward yourself after you’ve put some effort in.
